The Cincinnati Reds racked up a win at League Park II 1894-1901, bumping off the Cleveland Spiders, 7-2. Tim Mayhugh, who started for Cincinnati, pitched effectively for his team. In 6.1 innings, Mayhugh surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 7. He allowed no runs. The loss makes Cleveland 33-52.

The Reds got a big at-bat from shortstop Dan Coogan. For the game, Coogan was 1 for 2 with a double and 2 walks. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 2nd double of the season gave Cincinnati a 1-0 lead.
