The Anasco Matadioses picked up a win at Estadio Noé Martínez, knocking off the Rincon Ingenieros, 5-4. Starting pitcher Matthew Hall played a key role in the triumph. Evaristo Rodríguez, credited with the win, is now 4-4. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings.

In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 4-4, 30-year old center fielder Nicolás Gutiérrez won it for Anasco. With a runner on 3rd, Gutiérrez hit a 0-2 sinker from Pascual García for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 5-4 win.

Hall called the triumph "a good team win."
