Jayuya and San German duked it out and the Cerros came out victorious.

Behind the hitting of Carlos Romero, the Jayuya Cerros stopped the San German Golondrinas, 8-5. Romero went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs for the Cerros. Jayuya pitcher Vidal Escalante got the win, upping his record to 7-8. Víctor Gutiérrez got the loss. Esteban Hernández earned the save for Jayuya.

The Cerros got an important contribution from designated hitter Luis Álvarez, who in the bottom of the second hit a 0-2 fastball to right for a 2-run double. It was his 16th double of the season and put the Cerros ahead, 4-1.

"We put it together and came out with the win," Álvarez said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

With the win, Jayuya has a record of 37-49. San German falls to 48-38.
