Durón Swings Tejedores to 13-3 Win
Wet weather did not postpone the Sabana Grande-Jayuya ballgame.

The Sabana Grande Tejedores scored a convincing win at Coliseo Nicolás Pedraza, defeating the Jayuya Cerros, 13-3. One of the hitting stars was Pablo Durón, who finished 2nd in the LH in batting average with .327 in 1908, who went 3-4 with a home run, a triple, and a double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 5. Their 44-44 record puts the Tejedores third in the Liga Hostos Suroeste.

With Sabana Grande leading 7-3 in the bottom of the fifth, Durón batted against Jayuya pitcher Gerjan Peelen. Durón hit a cutter to left for a grand slam home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Tejedores on top, 11-3.

"We had a good plan and executed it," said winning manager Gamaliel Torres.
