Vieques pitcher Anastasio Cordero had a large part in his team subduing the Toa Baja Jinetes, 4-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Cordero yielded 1 run over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 1. His record improves to 10-11. Daniel Juma earned his 1st save, after closing out the game.
