Not everyone stuck through the 17-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.

The Mayaguez Capitanes powered past the Jayuya Cerros, 10-7, at Coliseo Atlético del Oeste. Byron Wood provided some of the pop. Should, Could was 3-4 with 2 triples and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Hortensio Galicia got the win, improving to 14-6. He pitched 8 innings, giving up 13 hits and 6 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 2.

In the bottom of the eighth, Wood put his team in front with his 7th triple of the season. The 2-run triple, which came against Esteban Hernández, made it 7-6, Mayaguez.

"We put it together and came out with the win," Wood said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

The win gives Mayaguez a season record of 52-40.
