Combatientes Lose 3-2 Decision to Hormigueros
The Cabo Rojo Combatientes were defeated, 3-2, by the Hormigueros Romeros at Coliseo Eugenio Carvajal, even though J.P. Haines pitched well for Cabo Rojo. Alheib Tau, the winner, is now 13-10. He struck out 2 and walked 3 over 8 innings, while allowing 2 runs on 13 hits. The save went to Ricardo Elías, his 3rd this season.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Romeros had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when left fielder Albán Martínez hit a run-scoring single. The single came off J.P. Haines and made the score 3-0, Romeros.
