The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.

The Guayama Hechiceros beat the Cayey Cornupetas, 4-3. Guayama pitcher and Humacao, Puerto Rico, native Mateo Tafoya led the way. Vittorio Gambachini closed the door for Guayama, picking up his 3rd save of the year.

Sisinio Treviño hit a 2-run double off Graciano Marcano in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Hechiceros in front, 4-2. In addition to the double, Treviño had 2 singles, while going 3 for 5.

In postgame comments to the Guayama Daily, Treviño said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."

The third-place Hechiceros improved to 31-68.
