Ciales and Arroyo took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
Ciales Galanes starter Noé Olvera turned in an exceptional performance against the Arroyo Telegrafistas at Estadio Municipal de Arroyo, resulting in a Ciales win, 4-1. Olvera yielded 1 run over 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 0. His record improves to 9-14.
The Galanes got an important contribution from designated hitter Francisco Valdez, who in the top of the first knocked a 1-0 sinker to right for a bases-clearing triple. It was his 2nd triple of the season and put the Galanes ahead, 4-0.
"Noé had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Ciales manager Herodes Tavárez.
Ciales is in second place in the Liga Betances Centro with a record of 47-62.
