Aibonito Absorbs 3-2 Loss to Guayama
|
The Guayama Hechiceros topped the Aibonito Frios, 3-2, in Liga Hostos action at Coliseo Germán Márquez. The standout performance belonged to Guayama pitcher and Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, native Héctor Marroquín. Marroquín got the win, improving to 4-15. He gave up 6 hits and walked 1 over 9 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The third-place Hechiceros improved to 37-74.
Guayama first baseman Afrodisio Orozco helped the Hechiceros go up, 3-2, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Orozco hit a run-scoring single off Aibonito pitcher Marcos Luna.
"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Marroquín told the Guayama Daily. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
