Hechiceros Beaten, 3-1, by Frios

Redmond Brier, who is tied for 9th in the LH in wins with 17, was terrific for the Aibonito Frios in his team's 3-1 triumph over the Guayama Hechiceros. His performance earned Brier rave reviews. Urso Ramírez, who finished 4th in the LH in saves with 14 in 1906, nailed down the save. With the win over Guayama, the Frios improved to 55-57.
Aibonito used the timely hitting of Flaminio Martínez to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Frios on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Tough loss," said Guayama manager Ramiro Escareóo. "But we'll learn from it."
