The Juncos Valencianos and Las Marias Citricos completed their game despite the inclement weather.
The Juncos Valencianos had to overcome a fine effort from Las Marias pitcher Donnie Lynch to win, 4-3, at El Naranjal. Lynch went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run. The second-place Valencianos improved to 64-76.
Lidio Reyes, the Juncos catcher, contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to make the score 1-0, Valencianos. For the game, Reyes went 1 for 2.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Reyes said.
