The rain did not keep Cidra and Arroyo from finishing their game.
The Cidra Palomas beat the Arroyo Telegrafistas, 5-0. Cidra pitcher and Caguas, Puerto Rico, native Príamo Diosdado led the way. Cidra reliever Príamo Diosdado got the win, raising his record to 5-5. Emanuel Salazar was tagged with the loss.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Rafael Mangual? The Cidra second baseman had a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Palomas on top, 1-0. For the game, Mangual had 1 double and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Diosdado said.
The Palomas now have a record of 61-54.
