Orocovis Shuts Out Canovanas, 1-0
|
Orocovis hurler Ángel Moreno put on quite a show, as he blitzed the Canovanas Chupacabras with a 1-0 shutout. He baffled them with fastballs and changeups, allowing 4 hits with 3 strikeouts and 2 walks to pick up the win.
"I think every time we were looking for a fastball, he threw a changeup and every time we were looking for a changeup, he threw a fastball," Canovanas manager Héctor Martínez told reporters after the game.
So far this season, Moreno has logged a 8-20 record with a 4.21 ERA. He has started 30 games, hurled 220 innings and registered 117 strikeouts and 101 walks.
