The Rincon Ingenieros locked up a win at Coliseo Hermógenes Cárdenas, knocking off the Cayey Cornupetas, 3-2. On the mound for Rincon was right-hander Pascual García. He played a major role in the triumph. Sergio García finished the game for Rincon and earned his 4th save. Rincon is now 55-62, Cayey 60-54.

Renato Ezatégui came through for Rincon when he hit a run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a two-strike splitter to center field, staking his team to a 3-2 lead.

"Our offense was purring," said Rincon manager Noé Aguilar. "Like a well-oiled machine."
