Leyendas Curb Senores, 2-1

The San Lorenzo Leyendas picked up a win at Coliseo José Sánchez, topping the Ponce Senores, 2-1. On the mound for San Lorenzo was right-hander Oscar González. He played a principal role in the triumph. In 8 innings, González surrendered 9 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Dalmacio Guerrero wrapped it up, recording his 6th save.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Leyendas had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when shortstop Nicolas Laurent hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Timoteo Muriel and made the score 2-0, Leyendas. Laurent was 1-3.
San Lorenzo manager Guarionex Garza praised his team's "no BS approach."
At 48-68, the Leyendas are currently third in the Liga Hostos Valle del Turabo.
