Pepinos Send San German Home with 11-2 Loss
The San Sebastian Pepinos handed the San German Golondrinas a sound defeat, 11-2, at Recinto Municipal Lola Rodríguez de Tió. Ireneo Gutiérrez, who is a two-time All-Star, was a main contributor to the win. He was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for San Sebastian. The Pepinos now have a record of 75-46.

Sarpedón Gurule had a big 2-run double for the Pepinos in the top of the third inning. With San Sebastian leading 3-1 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from Álvaro Salas, who is tied for 8th in the LH in complete games with 17, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 13th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Pepinos ahead, 5-1.

San German manager Melquíades Milla called the blowout loss "just something that happens from time to time."
