The Quebradillas Corsarios picked up a win at Estadio Gilberto Martínez, knocking off the Guanica Amigos, 6-1. Starting pitcher Segundo Arana played a key role in the triumph. Arana, the winner, moves to 4-11. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 1 and giving up 7 walks. The victory puts Quebradillas at 48-74.

The Corsarios got a big hit from center fielder Alberto Torres. Facing Guanica pitcher Eunosto Gutiérrez in the top of the fifth, Torres pounded a 2-run double to left-center. His 11th double of the season put the Corsarios ahead, 4-1.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Torres told the Quebradillas Observer.
