The Maunabo Artilleros picked up a win at Estadio Municipal de Arroyo, downing the Arroyo Telegrafistas, 5-4. On the mound for Maunabo was left-hander Rubén García, who played a pivotal role in the win. García got the win, improving to 11-11. He gave up 7 hits and walked 3 over 8.2 innings. He allowed 4 runs. Avelino Saldívar was credited with the save for Maunabo, his 16th of the season.
In the top of the second, Maunabo second baseman Rob Johns had a run-producing at-bat. Facing Arroyo hurler José Peralta, Johns hit a sacrifice fly. That made the score 5-0, Maunabo. For the day, Johns was 1 for 3 with a double.
Johns told a Maunabo Gazette reporter that he was "very pleased" with the win.
