|
Caguas Coquis starter Marvin Bernard found his groove in his team's 6-4 win over the Carolina Tumbabrazos. The winner was Bernard. He threw 8.0 innings of 7-hit ball. The loser was Alfonso López. Ramón Ayala collected his 6th save.
An inflection point occurred with one out in the bottom of the seventh. That's when Coquis designated hitter Severo Villareal hit a circle change from Alfonso López for a 2-run single. Just like that, Caguas was up, 5-4.
"Marvin had good arm action, good stuff," said Caguas manager Mateo Santiago.
The first-place Tumbabrazos now sit at 61-64.
