Caciques Get Clutch Win Versus Cabo Rojo
The Orocovis Caciques locked up a win at Coliseo Carlos Mujica, knocking off the Cabo Rojo Combatientes, 5-4. On the mound for Orocovis was right-hander Francisco Peña. He played a major role in the triumph. Peña, now 10-19, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 4, walking 5, and allowing 4 runs. Orocovis, now 55-72, holds down second place in the Liga Betances Centro.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, an error by the Combatientes allowed the Caciques to score the winning run.
