The Utuado Arribenos picked up a win at Coliseo Miguel Flores, taking down the Jayuya Cerros, 5-3. Starting pitcher Ben Browne was a big reason why. Browne got the win, improving to 20-11. He gave up 6 hits and walked 1 over 9 innings. He allowed 3 runs. Utuado is now 85-44, Jayuya 47-81.
Luis Hernández went 1-3 with a walk for Utuado. With two out and the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, Hernández, who finished 5th in the LH in home runs with 10 in 1909, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Jayuya hurler Eddie Kirby, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to give the Arribenos a 4-3 lead.
"It's a good day to be a fan after a win like that," Hernández told the Utuado Today.
