The Menestrales grabbed a win, 7-5, at Recinto Municipal Lola Rodríguez de Tió, overcoming a fine effort from San German pitcher Álvaro Salas. Salas went 8 innings and allowed 6 runs. Las Piedras used a timely hit from 20-year old second baseman Murad Fakhiri to get the win. The center fielder delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Menestrales on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was huge.

"Winning is seldom easy in this league," said Fakhiri.
