Nortenos Deal Culiacan 3-1 Defeat
|
The Ciudad Juarez Nortenos and Culiacan Galanes completed their game despite the rain.
The Ciudad Juarez Nortenos downed the Culiacan Galanes, 3-1, at Campo de los Galanes. The Nortenos were led by Ricardo Magaña. Magaña went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. At 49-42, the Nortenos are currently third in the Norte.
With Ciudad Juarez trailing 1-0 in the top of the third, Magaña hit a sinker from Emilio Ibarra for a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Nortenos ahead, 3-1.
"We're not gonna roll over for anyone," said Ciudad Juarez skipper Eduardo Moreno.
