The Aguas Buenas Mulos beat the Yauco Corsos, 4-3, at Coliseo Miguel Chávez. The win was due in part to shortstop Jerry Murphy, who went 2 for 2 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Picking up his 2nd save was 31-year old left-handed pitcher Luis Piñero. The win puts Aguas Buenas at 12-9.

Tied up with the Corsos in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Mulos got a boost from third baseman Lisco Marín. With the bases loaded, Marín saw a full count sinker from Mallon Nelson and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Aguas Buenas on top, 4-3.

"We're scuffling right now," said losing manager Diógenes Serrano.
