Combatientes Rally For Late Win Over Electricos
The Cabo Rojo Combatientes racked up a win at Parque Municipal Édgar Cabrera, bumping off the Guayanilla Electricos, 3-1. Luis Sánchez, who started for Cabo Rojo, pitched effectively for his team. Jorge Jiménez claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits in 2.1 innings. His record stands at 1-0. The Combatientes now have a record of 68-63 with the win over Guayanilla.

Cabo Rojo used the timely hitting of Julián Jerónimo to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Combatientes on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Luis gets on the mound and he competes and that's what you want," said Cabo Rojo manager Dick Hunt.
