Walk-Off Win Makes Jayuya 49-83
The Jayuya Cerros outlasted the Quebradillas Corsarios, 6-5, in 13 innings. Jayuya catcher Nehemías Martínez stood out with his performance. He went 3 for 5 with 3 singles and a walk. Jayuya reliever Eddie Kirby was the winner. His record is now 11-15. Primitivo Flores took the loss. After today's action, Jayuya sits at 49-83; Quebradillas slips to 52-79.

The Cerros got a clutch hit from second baseman Demetrio Garza. In the bottom of the 13th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Cerros.

"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Martínez told the Jayuya Herald.
