The Hormigueros Romeros converted a terrific effort from starter Mauricio Hernández into a win over the Canovanas Chupacabras at Recinto Ramón Araujo. The Romeros won the game by a final score of 8-0. Fernando Vázquez, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 4th save. With the win, Hormigueros boosts its record to 12-10.

Eduardo Alanis was vital to the Hormigueros win. He was 3 for 6 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the third with two out, Alanis hit a 2-run single. It made the score 2-0, in favor of the Romeros.
