Luis Castro, who led the LH in strikeouts with 394 in 1906, propelled his team to victory over the Corozal Mofongueros. The final score was 4-3, Florida. Ernesto Betancourt claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. His record stands at 8-1. The Mogotes raised their record to 76-54.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Florida trailing 3-2, Florián Cárdenas hit a fastball from Diego Bedolla to right for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Mogotes had a walk-off win.

"Luis doing his thing just hyped us all up," said Florida manager Luis Piñeda.
