The Jayuya Cerros picked up a win at Coliseo Álvaro Santana, knocking off the Trujillo Alto Macabeos, 3-2. Starting pitcher Vidal Escalante was a big reason why. Jayuya reliever Fernando Serafín got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Germán Bencosme was tagged with the loss. The loss has the Macabeos at 7-16.

Leovigildo Nieto was the walk-off hero for Jayuya. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cerros second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I have a job to do," Escalante said, "and I did it."
