Gómez Lifts Cerros to 9-2 Triumph
At Estadio de Jayuya, the Rincon Ingenieros and Jayuya Cerros were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Wenceslao Gómez had a hand in Jayuya defeating Rincon by the score of 9-2. Gómez went 2 for 3 at the plate, scoring 4 times and driving in 3 runs. Ignacio Lozano got the win, improving to 10-15. He worked 5.1 innings, giving up 2 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 0.

A key moment came with one out in the bottom of the third. That's when Gómez hit a changeup from Anaxímenes Rodríguez for a 2-run single, putting Jayuya up, 4-2.

"The effort wasn't good enough," said losing manager Onesíforo Vargas.

With the win, Jayuya goes to 56-81, while the Ingenieros fall to 64-70.
