Golondrinas Get Thrilling 5-4 Win
The San German Golondrinas topped the Yabucoa Dulceros, 5-4, in 12 innings. San German right fielder Miguel Batista, in particular, was impressive. He was 3 for 5 with 2 triples and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Roberto Hernández, who finished 3rd in the LB in saves with 16 in 1910, picked up the win in relief. Jobst Klais took the loss for Yabucoa. The second-place Golondrinas are 70-66.

San German used the timely hitting of Semónides Reséndez to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Golondrinas on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"When you think about it," Batista said, "there's often a fine line between triumph and tragedy. One pitch, one swing of the bat can make all the difference."
