The Salinas Pescadores topped the Canovanas Chupacabras, 5-3, in Liga Betances action at Recinto Ramón Araujo. The standout performance belonged to Salinas pitcher and Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, native Ramiro Rendón. Earning his 3rd save for Salinas was Bill Dougan. Salinas is now 69-68, Canovanas 41-96.

Salinas took control in the top of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, Ernesto Rodríguez hit a 2-run single to make it 5-3, Pescadores.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Rendón told the Salinas Bulletin.
