Yabucoa pitcher Ramón Montoya had a large part in his team beating the San German Golondrinas, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Melchor Alvarado, who leads the LH in holds with 2, picked up the win in relief. Valeriano Partida took the loss for San German. Yabucoa now has a record of 75-63 with the win.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, an error by the Golondrinas allowed the Dulceros to score the winning run.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Yabucoa manager Jairo López.
