Bayamon Lecheros starter Gilberto Corvera turned in a top-notch performance against the San Lorenzo Leyendas at Campo de los Lecheros. The result was a win for the Lecheros, 3-1. The save went to Carl Gillen, his 15th this season. The third-place Lecheros hiked their record to 66-70.

The Lecheros took the lead in the bottom of the third when Tibulo Cruz banged a two-out double. Bayamon had been trailing 1-0, but Cruz hit a 2-2 curveball from Marco Moreno for a 2-run double.

"I'm glad we can make our fans happy with a win," Cruz told the Bayamon Daily News.
