The Villalba Mercaderes took on the Trujillo Alto Macabeos at Estadio Cordelia Pérez de Verdugo.

Villalba registered a win at Estadio Cordelia Pérez de Verdugo by beating the Trujillo Alto Macabeos, 5-2. Pitcher Aristodemo Rodríguez was one reason why the Mercaderes triumphed. Villalba is now 12-15.

In the bottom of the ninth, Eduino Segovia stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Macabeos were trailing 5-2, but had the bases loaded. That's when Pablo Pérez made a terrific pitch and Segovia popped out. Gone was the dream of a Trujillo Alto comeback.
