Liga Betances Sur Champions Crowned Tuesday, October 7th , 1913 The Penuelas Guiristas stood out amongst the competition in the Liga Betances Sur this season and can now lay claim to having officially clinched the division title. It is the 5th time the club has won its division and they will be vying for the 1st Campeonato Nacional Puertorriqueño in franchise history. "Proud of everyone in the room," is how second baseman Ernesto Hernández described his feeling after the clinch. "We're number one now, but we need to make sure it stays that way when the playoffs are said and done." |
