Loiza Out of Playoff Race Tuesday, October 7th , 1913 The dream of lifting a championship banner above the home field of the Loiza Vejigantes has been extinguished, at least for 1913. The club was formally eliminated from playoff contention today. Asked to comment on the news, Vejigantes manager Luis Padilla issued a one-word statement, which cannot be printed by BNN. This is the club's 8th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 1905. In total, the Vejigantes have missed the playoffs 12 times in their 13-year history. |
