Combatientes Win Liga Betances Suroeste Crown Friday, October 10th , 1913 Cabo Rojo Combatientes fans are walking a little prouder today after their team officially clinched the Liga Betances Suroeste. "There's no reason to believe we can't win it all," starting pitcher Luis Sánchez said bluntly. "Whether or not we're favorites, we can definitely do what it takes to bring the Campeonato Nacional Puertorriqueño home to Cabo Rojo." The division crown is the 8th for the Combatientes. The club will be looking for its 1st Campeonato Nacional Puertorriqueño victory. Team manager Dick Hunt said "preparation and focus" will be key to bring home the championship. |
