Behind Hernández, Bayamon Blanks Ponce, 5-0 Sunday, October 12th , 1913 Eugenio Hernández subdued the Ponce Senores, 5-0, pitching a 2-hit gem for the Bayamon Lecheros at Estadio Municipal Alfonso Santibáñez. "He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Bayamon skipper Álvaro Silva said. Hernández registered 6 strikeouts and issued 1 walk in his superb performance. "We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Ponce manager Mariano Guerra after the defeat. This season, Hernández has 16 wins and 19 losses and a 2.86 ERA.
