Tainos Advance to Serie Eliminatoria Thursday, October 23rd , 1913 The Gurabo Tainos are one step closer to the Campeonato Nacional Puertorriqueño. The club prevailed 4-3 at Coliseo Municipal de Gurabo tonight to eliminate the Toa Baja Jinetes and advance to the Serie Eliminatoria. The Tainos won the series by a 3-1 margin, with catcher and series MVP Mauricio Hernández leading the way. "I'm proud of all the guys," Hernández said. "This was a team effort, not just me." The Gurabo Tainos don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Cayey Cornupetas - Fajardo Insolentes series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece.
