Morovis Wins Serie Preliminar Friday, October 24th , 1913 The Serie Preliminar didn't live up to the billing from those who thought it would be an all-out battle to the last game. But the Morovis Sanisalvos are no doubt pleased by the results, as they have knocked out the Cabo Rojo Combatientes 3-1 to advance to the Serie Eliminatoria. "It doesn't matter how you win it, as long as you win it and get yourself moving forward," said Sanisalvos third baseman Procopio García. "I know a lot of people thought this was going to be a really tight series the whole way through, but we're glad it didn't go right down to the wire." Morovis won the final game by a score of 6-1 at Estadio Juan Rodríguez. García was named series MVP after hitting .533 with a .562 on-base percentage. He also had 1 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 1 runs. The Morovis Sanisalvos will play against the Aguas Buenas Mulos in the next round. Aguas Buenas won their series against the Salinas Pescadores 3 games to 0. The Serie Eliminatoria schedule will be announced after the Serie Preliminar finishes.
