Utuado Moves on to Serie Interdivisional Sunday, November 2nd , 1913 The fans in Utuado are delirious, while there is little joy to be found in Ponce. The Utuado Arribenos finished off the Ponce Senores 4-3 in the deciding game of the Serie Eliminatoria played at Estadio Radamés Martínez. They took the series 3-2 and will now head to the Serie Interdivisional. For his standout play, Utuado first baseman Jaime de Jesús was voted the series' Most Valuable Player. He batted .364, drove in 3 runs and scored 2 to lead his club to victory. "We could never really figure out how to pitch to de Jesús and that doomed us," said Senores manager Mariano Guerra. "Hats off to Utuado, though. That was a great series." The Utuado Arribenos will play against the Isabela Quesiteros in the next round. Isabela won their series against the Corozal Mofongueros 3 games to 0. The Serie Interdivisional schedule will be announced after the Serie Eliminatoria finishes.
