Joaquín Marín Succeeds Father as Aguadilla Owner Tuesday, November 18th , 1913 Despondent and forlorn are the streets of Aguadilla today. The Aguadilla Colmillos baseball team has lost its leader, owner Joaquín Marín. He died suddenly yesterday, while on vacation. Club officials briefed the press today on the situation and released funeral plans. Services will be held day after tomorrow in Aguadilla. As far as who will take over for Marín, the Aguadilla Colmillos spokesman indicated it would be dealt with in the near future, but he had no word on who the successor would be. Press speculation is that Marín's son, Alcides, would be his replacement as owner. The younger Marín was characterized by sources high up in the Aguadilla Colmillos hierarchy as normal when it comes to money and unmerciful when it comes to management. |
