Astorga Is LB's #1 Rookie Saturday, December 6th , 1913 The top rookie in the Liga Betances was Juncos second baseman Salvador Astorga. He impressed voters so much that they named him the 1913 Nobilísimo recipient. Astorga put up some pretty fair numbers, including a .303 batting average and .358 on-base percentage, while racking up 2 home runs, 20 RBIs and 28 runs scored. Sarpedón Reyes of the Ciales Galanes finished second in voting, while Mick Walker of the Luquillo Soles finished third. |
