Vieques-Salinas Announce Deal Sunday, December 14th , 1913 Sometimes a change of scenery can be a beneficial to a baseball player. That is the hope in Vieques and Salinas as the teams came to an agreement today which sends 25-year old RHP Senén Ortega to the Pescadores and 23-year old minor league RHP Douggie Hunter and 20-year old minor league C Bob Strauss to the Esqueletos. "Only time will tell if this is the right move for everyone," stated the Salinas GM. During his career, Ortega has registered a 20-27 record and 15 saves. His ERA stands at 2.33 and he has fired third strikes past 174 batters in 487.2 innings while giving up 104 walks. |
