Almanza and García Swapped Sunday, December 14th , 1913 You can focus on the negatives after being traded to a new team -- finding a new place to stay, leaving teammates and friends, having to start anew -- but one player hopes to focus on the positives. "It means I'm wanted somewhere. At least one team sees potential in me." Those were the comments heard after the Adjuntas Santos came to an agreement to deal 29-year old RHP Valentín Almanza to the Aguadilla Colmillos for 21-year old minor league RHP Aldo García earlier today. The deal is expected to be formally announced later this evening. Almanza has a lifetime ERA of 4.05 with a record of 44 wins and 70 losses. He also has struck out 563 batters in 1068 innings and allowed 1062 hits. |
