Manager Sanabria Purged by Irondequoit Saturday, October 18th , 1913 Today the Peach Kings made an announcement: The era of Gregorio Sanabria is over in Irondequoit. After a disappointing season, the club officials sat down with Sanabria to discuss their decision to make a change. "It wasn't a surprise to me," Sanabria said speaking with reporters. "As a team we did not perform up to people's expectations, nor to my expectations. When that happens, someone has to take the blame. This year, that person was me." In an official statement, Peach Kings general manager García expressed gratitude for Sanabria's efforts, but confirmed the need to look for a different voice in the clubhouse. "We thank Gregorio for providing class, professionalism, experience and leadership during his tenure with the club, but believe we need to make this important change to our team's management," he said. |
