Top WLK Pitcher Announced Thursday, October 9th , 1913 Sebald Zimmerman of the Halbkugeln humbled hitters all season long and today celebrated as he hauled in the Westlicher Kreis Pitcher of the Year trophy, the coveted Huegelmeister. The Magdeburg hurler held opposing hitters to a .208 batting average while putting up a 21-10 record and a 2.19 earned run average. He started 32 games, pitched 284 innings and struck out 226. He received 14 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Ubaldo Mezzatesta of the Bolzano Dolomiti finished second in voting, while Nimet Kemalettin of the Stuttgart Vergaser finished third.
