The Ponce Senores defeated the Culebra Tortugas by the score of 6-2, with the biggest share of the credit going to right fielder Romualdo Rodríguez. Rodríguez went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for the Senores on the day. Ponce now has a record of 102-54 with the win.

Ponce used the timely hitting of Max Gilder to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Senores on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Rodríguez told the Ponce Herald.
